DOOH and digital signage.
Digital signage covers screen-based communication, including information, menus and internal messages. DOOH refers to advertising outside the home in public and commercial spaces. For industry terminology, see the IAB definition and core features of DOOH ↗.
The format starts with the setting.
A vertical totem, a column and an LED display have different format and viewing requirements. Content needs to fit dimensions, resolution, placement and context. Export requirements and pre-publication checks should be agreed for the network’s actual configuration.
Clarify the roles involved.
Creating the message, selling advertising space and technical operation are responsibilities that need defining. Heymonitor works on screen integration, content and maintenance. We work with technical and marketing teams to define the services required and interfaces with other partners.
Consider what happens after launch.
If you manage multiple spaces or screens, ask how materials are published, who coordinates interventions and what maintenance includes. A DOOH project needs a plan adapted to the equipment and organisation, with responsibilities and support conditions agreed before implementation.
